The immersive experience

On the trail, in front of each panel, the painting reappears where the painter set up the easel. Nothing to install, straight in your phone’s browser.

Georges Serrier, The Bridge at Villiers with the Washhouse, 1888

Augmented reality at the Pont de Villiers, Villiers-sur-Morin: on the phone screen, Georges Serrier's 1888 painting appears on an easel in the landscape Augmented reality at the Pont de Villiers, Villiers-sur-Morin: on the phone screen, Georges Serrier's 1888 painting appears on an easel in the landscape
On site

The on-site experience is enhanced by augmented reality. Augmented reality (AR) is a technology that overlays virtual elements (images, sounds, 3D data) onto the real world in real time, enriching the visitor’s perception without replacing their physical surroundings. The trails bring works of art into your direct view of the real world. The experience takes place on site: simply scan the QR code on the panel at each stop to make the painting appear in the landscape.

How does it work?

In 36 seconds: scan the QR code on the panel, make the painting appear in the landscape, listen to the story, take a photo and collect a fragment of the lost painting.
